STATEMENT REGARDING EURO LANGUAGES COLLEGE OPERATIONS SUMMER 2021
Euro Languages College plan to run all Residential Languages Courses in Summer 2021, these will be ran in full compliance with the public health measures outlined by the Department of Health and the HSE.
Euro Languages College are making big preparations for the upcoming Summer Courses in 2021, we are working closely with reputable boarding schools located around the Country including:
• Flannan’s College. Ennis, Co. Clare
• Bandon Grammar School, Bandon, Co. Cork
• Wilsons Hospital School, Multyfarnham, Co. Westmeath
• Villiers School, Limerick City.
• Clongowes Wood College, Clane, Co. Kildare
These schools are currently open and are operating boarding facilities safely during Covid 19. ELC will continue to implement all Covid 19 safety measures in line with these schools Covid 19 Policy. The safety of all students and staff is paramount to Euro Languages College.
All students and staff reside in the boarding schools for the duration of the course. Prior to arrival at the course, we expect all students and staff to have a negative PCR test result within 72 hours of arrival. On entrance to the course, we will be doing non-invasive Saliva based Rapid Antigen Testing of all students and staff (test results takes between 15-30 minutes), all students and staff that have a negative antigen test result will be allowed to access the Euro Languages College course. Rapid antigen testing will be performed again on day 4 and again in week 2 of each course. In essence we will create our own ‘Bubble’ or Pod’.
Euro Languages College will meet all guidelines and directives as set out by the Department of Public Health in the following categories:
- Physical or Social Distancing
- Students wearing Face Masks
- Increased hand washing and sanitising
- Enhanced cleaning regimes
- Staggered breaks and lunch times
- Daily temperature checks
Euro Languages College have Covid-19 Policy Statement, and all students and staff will be required to comply with the policy. The policy includes how to manage contact tracing, risk assessment policy, management guidelines, checklist for cleaning and a policy on how to deal with a suspected case of Covid-19.
Medical staff will be available on call. In the unlikely event, all colleges have the appropriate medical and dedicated sick bay facilities where students can isolate if necessary.
In the eventuality that Euro Languages College are unable to run Summer Courses in 2021 due to Covid-19, we will offer parents the opportunity of a full refund or defer until the following year.
Euro Languages College has been providing exceptional learning experiences to Irish students since 1989 and we look forward to continuing that tradition and supporting students again in Summer 2021.
