#ThinkLanguages Competition

We are delighted to be partnering with Languages Connect for their Think Languages competition. This is an amazing opportunity for TY Students in participating schools to get creative and be in with a chance to win!

The prize: An 18-day summer residential course in French, German or Spanish. You’ll stay in a boarding school and be fully immersed in your chosen language. There are 4 different locations to choose from – Clare, Westmeath, Limerick and Cork. There’s a balance of classroom learning and fun-filled activities.

Extended Deadline: Friday 24th February 2023

How to Enter: You will need to create a 2-3 minute video in the language you are learning at school with the title “Where could languages bring me?” We’re looking for potential adventures, career ideas and an engaging, entertaining video clip

Submit your entry to thinklanguages@ppli.ie along with your name, school, language teacher’s name and email address and your own email address and mobile number.

What to expect when you attend an ELC course?

Classes run from 9.30 to 1pm. Each class will focus on different element of the target language such as grammar, written expression, comprehensions while also improving students oral and aural skills.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Supper are all provided throughout the day with a Tuck Shop running at designated time slots.

Afternoon activities run between 2pm-5pm. There are a range of sporting activities ball sports, racket sports, film making, dance, arts& crafts, swimming(where permitted) and many more! All activities are ran through the target language by our expert animators! A real chance to improve fluency and confidence.

Evening Activities consist of exciting theme nights such as casino nights, film festivals, Eurovision song contest, Cluedo, table quizzes, Salsa night and many more! Students get the opportunity to learn key vocabulary in these activities which we call ‘language rich activities’ while interacting with each other and most importantly, having fun!
