Supporting student excellence through ETB-funded grants for our immersive summer language courses
Student Education Grants
In recognition of the pivotal role Modern Foreign Languages play in our daily lives, education, employment, and cultural exchange, many Education and Training Boards (ETBs) offer secondary schools the opportunity to provide student education grants/scholarships for participation in summer residential immersive language courses. For the last 30 years, we were privileged to welcome scholarship recipients from schools and we are proud to be recognized as a trusted supplier.
We invite your school to explore this opportunity for deserving students to participate in a summer residential immersive language course. Together, we can empower students to embrace language learning and cultural exchange.
If your school has received funding from your Education and Training Board (ETB) for student scholarships, please do not hesitate to contact us by sending an email to info@elc.ie . We are committed to assisting you in organizing everything you might need.

What Our Students & Parents Say
She made many new friends and significantly improved her French.
My 14-year-old daughter recently attended one of your 3-week French courses in Villiers, Limerick. I thought I would drop you an email to thank you for such an excellent and well-organized course! The whole team were excellent and so well prepared. She thoroughly enjoyed her 3 weeks at the school and made many new friends as well as significantly improving her French for Junior Cert next year. I wish you continued success in running these courses and hopefully we can send her on another course soon.

He had a fantastic time and enjoyed every aspect of the course.
I just wanted to say a sincere thanks to you for all your help whilst my son was attending Clongowes French course. He had a fantastic time and enjoyed every aspect of the course: the classes, accommodation, wonderful manager and teachers, and extracurricular activities. Many thanks again and I wish you continued success.

It was one of the best things I've ever done.
I really loved my French College course in Roscrea. Everything was so well organised. Whether in class or in activities the staff helped us with our French all the time. We were cared for so well over the 3 weeks. I learned so much French and my grade improved on return to school. I wish I hadn’t waited till 5th year to go as it was one of the best things I’ve ever done.

ELC gives you full language immersion without the anxiety of going abroad.
The thing I love most about ELC is that it gives you the full language and cultural immersion without the anxiety of going abroad. It has also given me friends for life and I am still in regular contact with those I met on both courses from all those years ago. Since then, I have gone on to complete a degree in Business, Economic and Social Studies (BESS) from Trinity College Dublin and in my third year, I had the opportunity to do an Erasmus in Rouen, France. I even returned to work at ELC last summer. I strongly recommend it to anyone, you won’t regret it!

“My sincere gratitude to the ELC team.”
I just wanted to convey my sincere gratitude to the Spanish ELC team. My daughter completed a highly enjoyable and fun course again this year. She has spoken so highly of the assistants, managers and teachers for their very warm, friendly, open, fun and complimentary approach to the delivery of the course. She advanced her Spanish but more importantly loved the very positive atmosphere that was created by the ELC team.

Attending ELC resulted in me choosing to study Spanish in university.
I attended 3 ELC Spanish courses as a student and I had a great time. I got the opportunity to make new friends through Spanish that I am still in contact with today. I became more confident and I got to play lots of different sports. The classes were fun, engaging and also based on the material examined in Junior and Leaving cert. Attending ELC allowed me to enjoy speaking Spanish and resulted in me choosing to continue to study Spanish in university.
